School of Business
School of Business (SB) originated from the Department of Agriculture and Economics in 1982 and was officially established in 2006.
SB has 88 faculty and staff members, including 16 full professors and 26 associate professors. There are 32 PhDs holders, eight PhD supervisors, 42 master’s supervisors and one discipline leader of Hunan Province.
The total value of teaching and scientific research instruments and equipment of SB is more than six million Yuan. The teaching and scientific research room is 4800 square meters. There are 31 off-campus practice bases, one provincial school-enterprise cooperative education base for innovation and entrepreneurship education in Hunan Province, and two innovation and practice bases for postgraduate training in Hunan Province.
SB has 32 international students from Nigeria, Laos and other countries, and it has sent some outstanding graduates to the US, the UK, Australia and other countries to further their studies.
SB registers 238 master candidates, 12 doctoral candidates, and 1963 full-time undergraduates.
SB has four departments, namely: Department of Business Administration, Department of Marketing, Department of Accounting and Department of International Economy and Trade;
SB has undergraduate innovation experiment classes for Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), training courses for Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and second-credit courses in Accounting and Marketing.

Scientific Research Platforms
SB has three scientific research platforms, which are Hunan Research Center for Agricultural Enterprise Development, Hunan Research Center for Public Cultural Ecology, and Research Center for Tea Industry Economy in HUNAU.
During the eight years since the 12th Five-Year Plan, SB has undertaken 173 scientific research projects, including five National Social Science Fund research projects, four National Natural Science Fund research projects, nine research projects from Humanities and Social Sciences Project of MOE, and 55 provincial research projects, with yearly average 1.24 billion Yuan for scientific research. SB has been granted one provincial and ministerial scientific research awards and 28 university-level scientific research awards. SB has published nearly 550 academic papers, including 92 CSSCI papers, four SCI papers and 14 monographs.
SB actively adapts to the needs of social development and has selected young teachers to work full-time or part-time for "agriculture, countryside and farmers" to provide better social services to rural local economic development and rural revitalization, including two teachers served as Deputy County Chief of science and technology, eight teachers as scientific and technological talents in the “Three Areas” (which means poverty-stricken areas, border ethnic areas, and old revolutionary base areas), and six teachers as sci-tech special commissioners.
